The Poison Diaries

   Hey guys!

         So last night I finished the book The Poison Diaries by Maryrose Wood. To be truthful, I thought this book had a slow beginning and could be kind of confusing, but in the long run, it was a great book!

         Alright so Jessamine Luxson is sixteen and still not able to go into her fathers apothecary garden. Then one day a man with a boy shows up. This man runs a nuthouse in the town and claims that this boy, Weed, was curring the patients. Mr. Luxson took him in and for a while, all Weed did was sit in the "basement". Then Jessamine got him to go on walks and eat and finally, Weed slept upstairs and did chores.

         Jessamine thinks she loves Weed, but is confused when she sees him talking to no one in the gardens and looking hurt every time that she plucks a flower. The truth is that Weed has a dark secret that will change everything.


         As slow and confusing as it was at first, Wood makes up for it by making the book be the tragic love story it is.*I almost cried at the end*
