Between Here and Forever

            Hey guys!

I just came back from a wedding! *Awwww*. So today's book is Between Here and Forever by Elizabeth Scott.

Abby's older sister, Tess, is perfect. Boys fall over themselves just to hear her speak. Abby is the shadow. The one everybody forgets when they notice Tess. Now, though, Tess is in a coma from a car accident. Abby is with her one day when a boy speaks and she thinks she saw Tess's eyes move. She thinks that Eli can bring Tess back. When Abby stumbles upon secrets that have been kept hidden from her, she is forced to make decisions about her life that she has been avoiding.

This book is kind of slow. It is good enough to make you keep reading it, but not enough to make you go I love this book!!!!. The main characters are kind of depressing, but rightly so.

Perfect You

     Hey guys!

It's Friday and today the book is Perfect You by Elizabeth Scott. I have been doing alot of her books lately. **nuge nuge. Wink wink**

When Kate Brown, a high school sophmore, has her dad quit his steady job to sell vitamins at the mall, she thinks the worst has happened. Then, her best friend, Anna who was fat girl-turned-skinny, stops talking to her, then noticing her all together. And of course there is Will, gorgeous, gorgeous Will. Kate acts like he is the most annoying thing, when the truth is, he is all that is on her mind. When Will starts to take interest in her, Kate hates the feelings bubbling up when she is sure that she is just his new conquest. Now, letting no one in seems to be the only way to cope.

Scott has given us a great book. The surprise backround of the characters and the moral both are perfect and entertaining!

Fake Boyfriend

       Hey guys!

Today is the wonderful book Fake Boyfriend by Kate Brian. I adore this book! Nuff said.

When Vivi and Lane's best friend, Isabelle, gets dumped by her horrible boyfriend again, they decide that Isabelle needs to get over him. Vivi has a plan that makes Lane's stomache twist. Two words. Fake Boyfriend. They make a MySpace page for "Brandon", the perfect guy, and put Marshal, Vivi's younger brother, as the "voice" of Brandon. Lane and Vivi hire preppy Jonathan and turn him into badboy Brandon. With the plan in motion, things could not be going better but worse at the same time!

I love how Brian used the omnicent point of veiw for both Vivi and Lane, but not Isabelle. It is funny and romantic and frustrating! I love it!

Something, Maybe

    Hey guys!

Something, Maybe by Elizabeth Scott. It was a fantastic book!

Some people think that their parents are the most embarrassing, but seventeen-year-old Hannah has them beat. Her mom sits in lingerie and talks to people through her website, while her father makes a fortune uploading pictures of pretty girls and his party lifestyle on the internet. Hannah has spent the last years perfecting how to stay invisible, while trying to get her crush to notice her. She knows that they are soul mates, so why does Finn keep intruding her mind?

I love this book! It has humor and romance together in perfect harmony. I really have nothing else to say about this book except that it is really sweet and you should totally read it!

The Unwritten Rule

         Hey guys!

The exclamation is perfect because I just went to the library!!!!! So I finished this book, The Unwritten Rule by Elizabeth Scott.

Sarah has had a crush on Ryan since forever. He is smart, funny, easy to talk to and caring. The one problem is that he is currently dating Brianna, her controlling best friend. The guilt she feels for liking him is enough to keep her away, but when they are forced together for one night, the best and worst thing happens. Torn by guilt and afraid to hurt her best friend, she ignores it to the best of her ability, but that is going to be difficult seeing how she wants more....

This is suuuccchh a girl book! I love it! The first person point of view that he uses is ridiculously good for the idea of this book! Have fun reading it!

Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys

        Hey guys!

I completely love this book, Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys by Kate Brian with my whole heart! Just writing about it now is making me want to read another book just like it!

When she was nine, Megan Meade met the most gooey, terrible boys - the sons of her fathers friend. Now, her army doctor parents are being shipped off to Korea and Megan is being shipped off to stay at a friend of her fathers. Now, living in a house of suntanned, abrocrombe gods, Megan is going to start a guide about the McGowan boys. Juggling a new school, family and a crush on the boy sleeping in the room next to her, this is going to be a fun year!

This book is hilarious and romantic, but mostly hilarious! Brian is great at bringing the craziness and chaos boys bring, into this story! I seriously love this book! It should definitely go on the list of best books of 2012!

Children of the Lamp (bk1)

      Hey guys!

So...since I am done with the week of Cabot, I am going to tell you about the series Children of the Lamp. The first book in this seven book long series is The Akhenaten Adventure by P.B Kerr. This is a great book to read to your children, or it is even good for fourteen's and younger! I know I loved it and I hope you will too!

When twelve-year-old twins, Philippa and John have their wisdom teeth come in, they discover that they are descendants from a  long line of djinn. Now, after harnessing their powers with the help of their uncle, they are sent on a mission to free seventy lost djinn. On top of that, they have to overcome Iblis, the most evil of jdinn's.

Kerr is a fantastic kids writer! His books are easy to follow and understand! I loved these books when I was littler and hope you do too!

Teen Idol

     Hey guys!

I am so so sorry, but in an earlier post, I said that Being Nikki was the first book, but it is really Airhead. I have changed the title, but the explanation is the same so go ahead and read it! So again, getting back into the Meg Cabot phase, I am going to write about Teen Idol.

In Clayton High School, not much is happening. Unless you count the person everyone sends their dating problems to, Annie, a mysterious person who keeps herself a secret. Annie is really Jenny Greenley, a social outcast who is good at solving everyone's problems but her own. She has never had a boyfriend or even been on a date. When nineteen-year-old heart throb Luke Striker comes to her high school to research a role, all hell brakes loose and Jenny is in the middle of it all. Can she finally take her own advise and find true love?

I love this book! It is so fantastic in how it depicts the craziness teenage girls go to to get the guy they like! Cabot has really hit the spot with this one.

Star Crossed

       Hey guys!

We - today - are going to talk about Star Crossed by Mark Schreiber. This is a fantastic book! I was so transfixed by it, I finished it in one day!
(I know it is a weird cover. Please still read it!)

Sixteen year old Christy Marlow is completely confused when she met a boy at the plastic surgeon. She was there getting the tattoo of the name of the boy she used to date, Benjamin, removed. He was there getting a tattoo of the name Christy off his arm. A match made in the stars. But how does a impulsive horoscope junkie fall in love with a soon to be college freshman who prefers astronomy over astrology?

Schreiber does a great job depicting the characters and their moods! It is just a book you will have to read and give me your feed back. *shrug*

All American Girl

       Hey guys!

So today is all about All American Girl by Meg Cabot. Today I would like to take a moment to say thank you to this Miss Cabot and also that if you have not liked some of her books in the past, try them one more time! I'm begging you!

Samantha Madison has a few reasons to be worried about being in deep trouble given that: A. She's in love with her older, popular sister's boyfriend, and B. She got caught selling portraits to people and now has to go to a stupid art class. Oh yeah, also, she kind of saved the president of the United States from being assassinated and now everyone thinks that she is a hero. Now she is trying to deal with her new-found fame, her older - and genius of a younger - sister, and the possibility of there being frisson between Sam and the presidents son.

This book made me go "awwww" and cover my smile even though no one was in sight. I loved it so much and can't wait to read the sequel. (Which I will not be blogging about).  READ IT!

Airhead

        Hey guys!

So I am going to be on a Meg Cabot kick for this week because I love her and she has soo many books that I have read!! Today the next book is Airhead by, of course, by Meg Cabot. This is the first book in a triligy. I love this triligy!!!!!!!!!

Emerson Watts had an accident. That is how she ended up being in the body of a teen super model after having a brain transplant. As a super model, she has a mother that has gone missing, a brother who demands answers, and a best friend who wants to bring down Stark Enterprises.  Now, juggling highschool, runway shows, and ex-boyfriends, will Em be able to uncover Stark Enterprises dark secret before it is too late?

I for sure am in love with this series! My older sister read this before me and loved it too. Cabot does a great job making the confusing parts easy (or easier) to understand! I just love everything that is in this book.

Jinx

     Hey guys!

Real quick, have you guys ever listened to She talks to Angels? It is by black crowes and it is my favorite song at the moment! Alright, enough of that, sorry! So... today is going to be Jinx by Meg Cabot. I love Cabot and cannot get enough of her!

The nickname Jinx is what Jean Honeychurch has always been known as. It seems that everywhere she goes, trouble follows. That is how she ended up in New York staying with her rich, popular cousin, Tory. As things try to settle down in her hometown, Jean is stirring up things with Tory and New York. Now, Jean is the only one who can save her life. Will she find out what lies beneath Tory's cool, sophisticated surface before it is too late?

I sooo wish that I could read this book again! I absolutely adore it!!! All of Cabot's books are amazing, but this one takes the cake...the whole bakery, infact!!!!! She is fantastic at creating suspense that will knock you off your chair, then you will be too amazed at the end that you won't even be able to get back on it!   (^-^)

Star Crossed

  Hey guys!

Today I am going to give you the book Star Crossed by Elizabeth C. Bunce. This book can be kind of confusing, but it all is smoothed out later in the book, just wait. Also, If you don't know what a difficult word/person means/is, the back of the book has a key. ( This is a big part! I would have understood the book more if I had found the key first! (^-^))

Digger, a very talented thief who is on the run from the King's Inquisition, has befriended some Lord and Ladies and is now a Lady-in-waiting for her best friend, Lady Merista. Except for to Lady Merista and the others, she is Celyn Contrare, a girl who escaped the Daughters of Celys, a convent. Now, she is picking locks and steals jewls and collecting secrets around the castle. She is forced to collect information for the hineous Lord Daul. What she finds could signal a civil war, and other horrors beyond belief.

Bunce is a very imaginative person! I mean, who can come up with this stuff? She is a fantastic writer, bringing comedy into a world of torture and sorrow! Praise to Bunce for Star Crossed! I am going to read the sequel to this book... so keep your eyes out!

Slice of Cherry

        Hey guys!

So today's fix is another Dia Reeves book, Slice of Cherry. This is the only other book that I have read by Reeves and it is SUPER good!!!

In Portero, a little town in Texas, Kit and Fancy both are infatuated with their infamous dad's hobby of killing and torturing. They live for themselves and help one another-no one else. But when two boys enter their lives and attempt - unknowingly - to try to change them, will it drive a wedge between the dark child and the child who is learning to love? Or will it bring them closer together and merge them with the outside world?

I absolutely love this book...both books...Dia Reeves! This book is full of beauty emerging from the tragedies. This book is gorier than the last, but Reeves makes sure that not all things innocent die, and that not all things die in the same manner! ;).

Bleeding Violet

      Hey guys!

So, I just got finished painting my left hand's nails green! I usually only paint my left hand because I am right handed and when I paint my right hand, I get alot of nail polish on it. Okay, down to buisness. Today I am going to let you fathom the book Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves.

Sixteen-year-old Hanna has a mental illness that lets her see and speak with her dead father.(It's all in her mind, of course). She is compelled to break into her mother's home in Texas. In this little strange town of Portero, Hanna finds demons and monsters beyond belief and struggles with a way-past-normal teenage love.

Reeves is a gory writer. Her other book that I have read, which I will tell you about tomorrow, is the same as this one: very dark, very magical. I LOVE IT! Reeves has a way of making you want to read more even though it is so gory and dark!

Entangled

    Hey guys!

So, today I am going to write about Entangled by Nikki Jefford. I read this book on my e reader, which I might be giving back, and It was super good!

Graylee and Charlene aren't normal twins, their witches. When Charlenes boyfriend, Blake, dumps her for another girl, she wants to kill herself or the other girl. But, unfortunately, Graylee is the one who ends up dead. Two months later, Graylee wakes up and has no idea what has happened those past two months.

Now she find out that her mother brought her back, except that Graylee has to share her sisters body with her sister. 50/50. Every other day, Graylee comes back. Now the race is on to get Graylee's body back before it's too late.

I love that Jefford keeps me on my toes. That I can make assumptions, but always be surprised! My hat is off to her.

Redeeming Love

           Hey Guys!

Today I am going to tell you about Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. This book is better read by adults, but never less this book is AMAZING!

In 1850 California, men sold their souls for a parcel of gold and women sold their bodies for a place to sleep. There, Angel expects nothing but betrayal from men. As she was sold into prostitution as a child, she has traveled from house to boat to house selling her body. The hate she wields within her for the men who use her is what keeps her alive. Then she finds herself in the presence of Michael Hosea, a man who seeks his Fathers heart in everything. He embraces God's will for him to marry Angel and to love her unconditionally. Day by day, little by little, Michael thaws her refusing and hateful heart. This softening of her scares her and makes her think that she is unworthy of Michael's love. So Angel runs. Back to her dark, depressing life. Will Micheal ever get her back, to stay? Will Angel finally see God?

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!  I love this book to death!  Rivers does a fantastic job of bringing together religion and 1850 California! I need you to love this book!

Mockingjay

 Hey guys!

So today I am going to tell you about the book Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. This book is a little,AKA:very confusing in alot of parts. All in all though, this is a great book!

As impossible as it appears, Katniss Everdeen has defeated the Hunger Games twice and is now in the secretive district thirteen. With 12 blown up, and the capitol and 13 now in battle, will Katniss rise up to be the mockingjay, or will she fail her mission.

Ummm, so this book has a few hidden surprises that you may not see coming, but you will hope for it. Also, It has some very funny parts that I laughed out loud!

What Happened to Goodbye

     Hey guys!

Another Sarah Dessen book I have to tell you about is What Happened to Goodbye.

Mclean and her dad have been traveling over the U.S.A ever since the divorce. Four towns in two years. Her dad is a restaurant consultant, which is the cause of all of the traveling. Seventeen-year-old Mclean has a new name and personality for every town, but when her plan falters and cracks will her true personality come out? Will she finally allow someone to get close enough to know the real her?

This is one of my favorite books by Sarah Dessen! I might even go as far as to say that it is my favorite! I mean, just writing about it now makes my want to go over everything in that book and just remember it! I love how Dessen really brings out the problems we face in everyday life into a new light! She has a real knack for writing!

Lock and Key

   Hey guys!

So I know that I already kinda covered the Sarah Dessen books, but I have to tell you about one of her books, Lock and Key.
This was the very first book by Sarah Dessen that I have read! Exciting!

When she can no longer dodge the questions of where her mother is, Ruby is forced to move out of the yellow she was living in by herself and move in with her sister, Cora. She hasn't seen Cora in ten years, and is just meeting her rich husband, Jamie. She has everything laid out for her: a private high school, a fancy house, and the promise of collage. So why does she feel so reluctant to jump into this new lifestyle? To be Cinderella for once in her life? Also, what is the boy next door, Nate, hiding?

Dessen does a fantastic job of keeping you hooked and wanting more great reads from her! There have only been one or two books from her that I have not liked, but that's okay, I still like her.

In other news, my sister got her eyebrows done, and now they are a little messed up. %)

FRUSTRATING!!!!!

    Hey guys!

Ugh! Have you ever just not finished a book half way through?
I have, and it is horrible! I have only had to do it a few times, but I cannot stand it! The cause of my abandoning the book is either: A. The book is super boring, or B. I am soo frustrated with the characters I cant take it anymore, or both A and B. Arrrrggg.

          Just wondering.

Catching Fire

     Hey guys!

So yesterday I told you that I would only do the Hunger Games if it was requested because I figured most of us have seen the movie. (I still have not). But, a lot of people I know have only seen the movie, not read the series. In conclusion, I am going to be writing about Catching Fire!

Katniss and Peeta have won the Hunger Games, but how long will the victory last? With the Capitol believing that Katniss has started a revolution, They are keeping a tight leash on her. Some districts have already revolted and continue to. But with the surprise of the Quarter Quell coming up, and the revolution, can Katniss and Peeta stay alive?

Now, I did not think that this was a page-turner, but It was a very good book! It does not captivate you entirely, but just enough that you need to know what happens next.

Also, I was going to tell you about it, but I figured you guys have already read it or know someone who has and has told you about it. But, if you want me to give my perspective and/or just tell you about it, you can just ask me.

Room

Hey guys!

So since today I have to hurry on this-I  have some graduation parties to go to- this post will be short. Right now I am reading Room by Emma Donoghue. This book is in a five-year-old child's point of view. Sometimes it is a little hard to follow, but not much. Donoghue does a fantastic job of writing the story through the eyes of a little boy! I don't know how, but how she writes, the words she uses, and the very naiveness of it is spot on!

This book is about this woman getting kidnapped when she was 19. She has spent seven years in one small room, never going outside. She has a little boy( who tells the story). She realizes that she NEEDS to escape this Room for herself and her son.

How she is going to do this, or even if she is going to succeed, it beyond my reading. I am not even half-way through the book, but I didn't have another book that I could think of  to write about.

This book has gotten very good reviews so I am excited to immerse myself in it! Every person that I have talked to about this book has loved it!

                         See you tomorrow!

Prada and Prejudice

       Hey guys!
Alrighty. Well today I am going to tell you about the likings of Prada and Prejudice by Amanda Hubbard. She does an absolutly fantastic job of taking you into the story. She steals your heart, and cages your mind! =).

Callie, wanting to impress the girls in her high school, bought a pair of red Prada shoes. Being as clumsy as Callie is, the second she walks out the door in the shoes, she trips on the cobblestone and is sent back to 1815.

When Callie wakes up in this strange place, she meets Emily. Emily mistakes her for a long-lost friend and takes her in. Can Callie save Emily from an upcomming engagement?  Can she make Alex, Emily's cousin and a hottie

This is the type of story I dream for! (metaphorically speaking) I was brought into this book from the very first page! Amanda Hubbard, keep up the great work!
